Bresser Pereira

Luiz Carlos Bresser Pereira Gonçalves (São Paulo, June 30, 1934 ) is a lawyer , businessman , economist and political scientist.

He was Minister of Finance of Brazil , from 29 April 1987 to 21 December of the same year , during the government of José Sarney . He was minister of the Federal Administration , replacing General of the brigade Romildo Canhim , and Minister of State Reform around the 1st presidential term of Fernando Henrique Cardoso (1995-1999 ) and Minister of Science and Technology in the initial 6 months of 2nd term , remaining in that position until July 19, 1999.
