Marius B. Jansen



Marius Berthus Jansen (April 11, 1922 – December 10, 2000) was an American academic, historian, and Emeritus Professor of Japanese History at Princeton University. He was born in the Netherlands, and graduated from Princeton in 1943, having majored in European history of the Renaissance and Reformation. He was a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and president of the Association for Asian Studies in 1976. Continue Reading »
