R. G. Collingwood
Robin George Collingwood (22 February 1889 – 9 January 1943) was an English philosopher and historian. He was born at Cartmel, Grange-over-Sands, in Lancashire, the son of the academic W. G. Collingwood. He was educated at Rugby School and at University College, Oxford, where he read Greats.
